Chris I want us to be the Coca-Cola of wireless phones. It's all about global name recognition, as far as I'm concerned .
Janet It's a question of branding , I agree. People should use our name to talk about wireless technology the way they use Kleenex to talk about tissues.
Chris I think the first step is to hire an agency to redo our logo . The old one is kind of drab . We need a whole new look .
Janet I've identified a couple of high-end agencies that we should meet with.
Chris Good. If we go into that meeting with a strong sense of our corporate vision , we should be ahead of the game .
Janet So what's the bottom line as far as our advertising budget?
Chris The word upstairs is that for once, the sky's the limit . They're willing to spend whatever it takes to get the job done.
Janet That's great news.
Chris I'm sure we'll have to tighten our belts in some other areas.
Janet Such as?
Chris I'm not sure. I just hope it's not in the area of salary increases for employees.
Janet That's one area where I definitely am not in favor of fiscal conservatism.
