Using 'already' and 'yet' with the present perfect
Nicholas has asked everyone about Claire. He has already asked the clerk about Claire. He has already searched the city for her. He has not found her yet .

To emphasize that an act was completed in the past, use the present perfect with already . To form this use of the present perfect, use: to have + already + past participle.

>> I have already seen that movie.
>> He has already searched the city for her.

To say that an act is not complete and to stress that the act will be complete at some time, use the present perfect with yet . To form this use of the present perfect, use: to have + not + past participle + object + yet.

>> I have not eaten lunch yet .
>> He has not found her yet .

The form have not contracts to haven't .

>> I haven't eaten lunch yet.
