Using 'let' and 'help'
Dr Green: Come in.
Claire: Can you help me open the door?
Dr. Green: Oh, sorry. Now, let me see that arm.
Claire: Will you let me go home today?

Let implies that someone gives permission for something. Use: let + base verb .

>> Why did you let her climb up the tree?
>> Will you let me go home today?

The verb help can be followed by the base verb or by an infinitive. Use: help + base verb or infinitive .

>> Can you help me open the door?
Native speakers in the United States usually prefer this form.
>> Can you help me to open the door?
