Using 'get' and 'have'
Claire got her arm x-rayed. She had her temperature taken. She got her arm put in a cast.

Have and get can be used in the passive as causatives. In this form, there is no great difference in meaning between get and have .

Use: get/have + object + past participle .

>> Claire had her arm x-rayed.
>> Claire got her arm x-rayed.
Both sentences mean about the same: Claire caused her arm to be x-rayed by Dr. Green.
