Activity: What time is it in ...? Level: Beginner-intermediate Website: World Time Server Practice asking for and telling the time in class. Make it more fun with the Internet! Divide the class in small groups. Each group has to write down twelve names of places all over the world, with at least two places from each continent. Then, ask students to visit one of the sites and write down the time difference between the chosen location and your location. If you have computers in class, you can do this in class. If not, you can assign this activity as homework. In class, do a question-answer chain. One student asks another student what time it is in one of the places on his list. For instance "What time is it in Budapest?" Or "What's the time in Budapest?" If he/she answers correctly, then he/she has to ask another question to a third student. If not, it's the first student's turn again. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
