Activity: Pass the ball! Level: Beginner-Intermediate Materials: Ball Bring a ball to class. Ask students to stand in a circle. Tell them the name of a category, such as colors, adjectives to describe people, foods, and so on. It can be anything that they have learned before. Students have to throw the ball to each other and every time they do so, they have to say a word that belongs to that category. Words cannot be repeated. For instance, if you are practicing the names of colors, they can say: red (throw the ball), blue (throw the ball), green (throw the ball), and so on. With intermediate students, you can have students who catch the ball say the word. This adds an element of surprise and makes the game more exciting. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
