Activity: Word Chain Vocabulary: Any vocabulary Level: Intermediate-Advanced Materials: None If you have five spare minutes in class, this is a great game to practice all types of vocabulary. In "Word Chain," students take turns saying words. Each word has to start with the same letter as the last letter of the previous word. Students who cannot come up with a word, are "out." The last student wins. In higher-level classes, words cannot be repeated. Start by saying the first word, such as "learn" or "English." (Try to avoid words that end with uncommon letters.) Students should follow with words such as "learn-nine-English-hot-train-no-only-year-rug," etc. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
