Activity: The Vocabulary Snake Vocabulary: Vocabulary of the week Level: All levels Materials: Worksheet "The Vocabulary Snake" Fold a piece of blank paper in half. Draw a hollow snake on the top part. Draw another hollow snake on the bottom part. Divide each snake into 7 sections. Label one sheet Student A, and the other sheet Student B. Write 7 vocabulary words into the top part of Student A's sheet. Write 7 other vocabulary words into the bottom part of Student B's sheet. Students will work in pairs to fill in the snakes. Hand out the sheets and have the students keep them upside down until every pair has a set of sheets (one for Student A and one for Student B). They have to explain to the other students what their words are, without mentioning them. The first team to fill out both sheets correctly wins. Tell them that they cannot look at each other's sheets. They can describe the words that go in the blanks in any way they wish, but they cannot say or spell the word. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
