Activity: What is My Job? Vocabulary: Recycle vocabulary on jobs/professions Formulate yes/no questions Level: All levels Materials: Cards This is a great activity to practice vocabulary on jobs and professions, and it is guaranteed to get students to talk! Prepare cards with the names of the professions you have learned in class. Write one name on each card. Attached a card to the back of each student without them seeing what is written on it. Students have to guess their professions by asking yes/no questions, such as "Do I work at an office? Do I wear a uniform? Do I earn a lot of money? Do I work with animals?" Make this activity even more fun by adding some unusual professions, such as, president, dog-walker, exotic dancer, unemployed actor, surgeon (plastic surgery), make-up artist, professional wine taster, professional Internet surfer, tattoo artist, stuntman, tarot reader, rabbi, professional killer or hitman, zookeeper, bodyguard, and so on. Use your imagination! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
