On The Streets Of...
La Ciudad de Panamá

Marta is an Argentine visiting la Ciudad de Panamá (Panama City) for a few days. Her primary interests are to visit the canal and to buy some molas for her friends. Molas are extraordinary colorful textiles made by the Kuna Indians who live on the Caribbean coast.

Listen to the dialogue between Marta and a merchant. In this dialog, Marta is just entering a tienda (shop) in the Mercado de artesanía in Panamá la Vieja, where the ruins of a Spanish colonial town are located. Click on Show Translation to see the translation in English.
